Wonderful, just wonderful!

Ivana is an exceptional host. From before arrival right through to departure, her attention to detail, genuine care, and passion for making every stay memorable are truly infectious.

The château and grounds are absolutely stunning and provide the perfect place to completely relax and unwind, while also making an ideal base for exploring the local area.

Breakfast was excellent, with freshly prepared, locally sourced products, including delicious homemade breads and preserves plus fruits from the garden.

Thank you again, Ivana, for such a wonderful and memorable stay. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Heerlijk verblijf gehad op het mooie landgoed. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen Ivana, een super  gastvrouw! Ze had leuke tips voor in de buurt en zorgt dat alles naar wens is.

Wij sliepen in het poortgebouw, een ideale plek als je tot rust wil komen. Het gebouw is van alle gemakken voorzien en praktisch, knus en elegant ingericht.

We had a wonderful stay at Hodebert.  We highly recommend the Chateau as a staging place to visit the Chateaus of the Loire Valley. The rooms are ample, well furnished with beautiful antiques. The breakfast is amazing and the setting is like no other. Ivana does a fantastic job as owner-hostess and talking about the history of the Chateau is most interesting. Wauw! Wat een plek! We hebben ons hier de afgelopen dagen enorm thuis gevoeld. De host gaf super veel leuke tips in de regio en gaf ons een warm welkom. We mochten het hele kasteelterrein ontdekken wat enorm bijzonder voelde. Het weer zat tegen maar dankzij de open haard en de knusse inrichting was dat geen probleem.

Très belle expérience au Chateau d'Hodebert - une escapade qui permet de s'évader le temps d'un weekend dans un décor somptueux, on s'est immédiatement sentis bien dans cette demeure très familiale. We had the pleasure of staying at Chateau d'Hodebert on our trip to the Loire Valley.  It was the perfect home base for many reasons.
The thought of touring the beautiful chateaux of the Loire, and then coming back each night to a hotel room horrifies me.  But using the Chateau D'hodebert as our lodging meant that each day when we would come back from a long day of touring we were still surrounded by the character and authenticity of the region.  Coming back to this fabulous family chateau meant that the experiences of our day were all the more enhanced!
Although, the chateaux that are open to the public are exquisite, most of them do not feel like they are lived in.  Coming back to Hodebert and enjoying a glass of wine in one of the living areas, or taking a walk in the park-like setting brought chateau living to life!
Feeling the chateau around us truly made our trip.
Not only are the furnishing and color choices warm and inspiring, but the true French hospitality that Ivana has on offer are memorable, to say the least.  Her attention to detail throughout the house and property are exemplary.  From the thoughtful design choices she and her husband have made, to the sublime organic breakfast she offers (home baked breads, eggs from her chickens, house made yogurt and jams), everything at Hodebert is exemplary.
More than anything, staying here was a fascinating example, not only of a gorgeous chateau, but of how a family estate can survive for hundreds of years and still manage to move into the future.  It is a true family house.... and a happy one, at that!  And that is in no small part from the dedication and hard work Ivana and her family continue to pour into the estate.  It is at once a not only a love letter to the past, but also decidedly modern!
To me, experiencing this type of environment truly makes traveling feel meaningful and inspired!
It is special place, and I feel very lucky to have spent time there.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux week-end de Pâques dans ce vaste domaine exceptionnel.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été agréablement accueillis par Ivana, avec ce sentiment rare d’être reçus dans une histoire familiale vivante, qu’elle a su partager avec nous. Le travail de restauration mené ici est remarquable.

Nous avons séjourné dans d’anciennes écuries aménagées avec beaucoup de goût. Les espaces offrent à la fois confort, caractère et une véritable intimité, idéale pour notre séjour à deux familles avec quatre enfants.

Le domaine est un véritable terrain d’émerveillement : chevaux, animaux, nature, promenades au sein même du site… Un cadre idéal pour les enfants comme pour les adultes.

Un grand merci à Ivana pour un accueil à la fois délicat, chaleureux et présent sans être intrusif — un équilibre précieux et rare.
