What is the difference between bed and breakfasts and guest houses?

 

Our guest rooms are located in the castle with breakfast included and services (reception, cleaning). 
Guest houses are entire independent accommodations, rented on a self-catering basis, without daily services included.

How many people can the estate accommodate in total?

We can accommodate a total of 20 people spread across our 4 guest rooms and our two guest houses.

Are the guest houses completely independent of the castle?

Yes, our three guest houses (the gate house, the Montmorency apartment and the stable house) are completely independent. 

Is the castle a listed historical monument?

Hodebert Castle was added to the supplementary list of Historical Monuments in 2009. A castle listed as a historical monument benefits from a lighter level of protection: it is recognized as having heritage value, but restrictions on renovations are less stringent. A classified castle is considered to be of major national importance: the protection is much stricter and renovations are heavily regulated by the State.

Are the castle's lounges, library and terraces freely accessible?

Only guests staying in our guest rooms have access to the lounges, libraries, and terraces. Guests staying in our guest houses have their own private garden. 

How to book a stay at Château d'Hodebert?

Choose your accommodation by browsing our website and then click on the "Book" tab. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions during the booking process.

What is the minimum length of stay?

We welcome you for stays of at least 2 nights in our rooms and guest houses. During the summer holidays, our guest houses are rented by the week. 

Do you accept pets?

Unfortunately, we do not accept pets as we wish to preserve the peace and quiet of the animals at Hodebert, which are already numerous. 

Is breakfast included in the room rate? And in guesthouses?

Breakfast is included in the price of bed and breakfast rooms. It is not included in the price of guest houses, which each have their own kitchen.

Is breakfast served in the castle's dining room?

For our guests staying in the guest rooms, breakfast is served in the castle dining room.

Are the products truly organic and local?

Our products are all organic and/or local: coffee, tea, cane sugar, homemade jams with local fruit and organic cane sugar, homemade spelt bread with organic non-hybridized flour, orange juice, homemade yogurts with organic whole milk… 

Is the heated swimming pool accessible all year round?

The swimming pool is open from May to the end of September. Opening and closing dates depend on the weather. For environmental reasons, we do not heat the pool when the temperature is between 0 and 10°C at night. 

What are the cancellation conditions?

The date your cancellation is received after you have contacted us will incur the following charges:

  • If we receive your cancellation 14 days or less before the arrival date, a charge equal to 50% of the stay amount will be applied.
  • If we receive your cancellation 8 days or less before your arrival date, you will be charged the full amount of your stay. The same applies in case of a no-show on the day of arrival.
What are the arrival and departure times?

Arrivals are between 4pm and 7pm.
In case of late arrival, please let us know as soon as possible.

For the peace and quiet of our guests, no arrivals are possible after 10 p.m.
On the day of your departure, we ask that you vacate your room by 11am.
